Marketing AI Architect
Hillpointe is hiring a founding Marketing AI Architect to build the next generation of AI-native tools powering our Marketing, Creative, and Centralized Operations teams. This person designs, builds, and deploys internal applications, automations, custom AI agents, and shared context systems that improve the customer journey from first lead through residency - and that make Hillpointe and Pointe Grand discoverable, cited, and recommended by AI models.
This is a founding, high-trust role. You will inherit and extend a live portfolio of internal tools already shipped by the Brand & Creative organization (brand guidelines hub, org-chart app, property knowledge bases, job-description builder, and more) while building net-new systems the team does not have yet. You will work marketer-first: you own the problem, not just the code.
We are looking for a builder who ships - someone who is deeply capable inside AI development tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, fully comfortable at the command line and in GitHub, and who can get working tools into teammates’ hands efficiently and repeatedly. Marketing “taste” and judgment are the differentiators; the code is the means, not the end.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Required:
- A marketing, creative, growth, or brand background - you understand marketers because you have been one.
-
A portfolio of tools, agents, automations, or apps you have personally built and shipped (personal projects count - we want to see what you build when no one tells you to).
-
Deep, hands-on capability with AI development tools such as Claude Code and/or OpenAI Codex.
-
Comfortable and fluent with the command line (CLI) and GitHub.
-
Ability to deploy tools to a team and drive real adoption - not just build in isolation.
-
“Marketer taste”: the judgment to know what NOT to build, and when AI output is off-brand or low-quality.
-
Relentless curiosity - you keep up with new models and capabilities as a matter of habit.
-
Ability to own projects independently while collaborating across teams.
- Preferred:
- Experience building internal business tools or software used by a team.
- Formal software engineering background or CS coursework - valued, but not required if you can demonstrate what you build.
- Hands-on GEO / AEO / AI-visibility experience (citation tracking, structured content for LLMs).
- Experience with API integrations across SaaS platforms.
- Experience building custom AI agents or MCP integrations.
- Design or content-creation ability alongside building.
- Knowledge of property management, multifamily housing, CRM, or marketing technology.
