Overview
ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Safety Technician. This position will support the Safety Technician who is responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating the safety, health and environmental objectives, materials, and environments to achieve safety effectiveness.
Shift:
Monday - Saturday
5am-5pm
Pay: $32
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities
- Train new team members on ABM Safety Standards.
- Lead regularly scheduled safety audits, risk assessments, inspections, training sessions, and safety meetings to determine the effectiveness of safety and accident prevention activities.
- Enforce safety policies and recognize desired behaviors.
- Provide coaching, establish expectations, and provide resources to operating teams to sustain successful operations.
- Maintain compliance with all OSHA recordkeeping requirements, including OSHA 300 logs, training records, and other compliance program requirements under 29 CFR 1910 and 1926, where applicable.
- Inspect buildings and work areas for safety compliance.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate and interact with multiple trades, contractors, and client teams.
- Attend client-based meetings.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of construction experience
- One (1) year of safety experience
- OSHA 30 Certification required.
- Ability to effectively support a large multi-site workforce.
- Reliable attendance and a demonstrated record of punctuality.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented environment.
- Solid history of safe work practices and adherence to company policies.
- Ability to serve as a professional ambassador for ABM when interacting with clients and employees.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
