Job Summary and Qualifications
***Looking for an APP with a Neonatal Focus! Overtime and Transport Differentials Included!***
The AirLife Neonatal APP utilizes their experience, education, and training to both autonomously and collaboratively deliver critical and specialty care to neonatal and newborn patients aboard fixed-wing aircraft, rotor-wing aircraft, and ground ambulances during transports between medical facilities.
- Coordinate, deliver, and document all aspects of patient care in collaboration with referral teams, physicians, AirLife team members, patients, and families while adhering to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively while adhering to AirLife clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures with minimal support.
- Maintain the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) in accordance with AirLife, HCA, and HIPAA standards.
- Demonstrate awareness of and routinely practice safe work habits while adhering to the AirLife Commitment to Safety.
- Maintain proficiency in flight physiology, aircraft operations, ambulance safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including chart reviews, data collection, and process improvement activities.
- Support the mission of AirLife and HCA by embracing the pillars of Safety, Service, Quality, People, and Growth, while adhering to the AirLife Rules of the Game.
- Participate in outreach activities, including transport safety education and clinical education programs.
What Qualifications You Will Need
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Graduate of an accredited Master's, post-master's certificate, or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program required.
- Two years of experience as a Neonatal Transport RN required for new graduate Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs).
- Or three years of experience as an APP in a Level III NICU or higher.
