Job Summary and Qualifications
- Assures patient assessments are completed in a timely manner by the department
- Provides direct clinical oversight of the patient access process
- Works collaboratively with hospital departments to provide services needed.
- Models and trains other behavioral health team members on managing and tracking inquiry calls.
- Tracks and reports on all key indicators related to calls, assessment, admissions.
- Ensures patient rights and confidentiality are maintained
- Provides input, suggestions and support appropriately.
- Participates as an active member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Responsible for reporting department performance and for identifying trends/patterns that require intervention
- Completes additional duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Masters Degree in Psychology OR Counseling OR Social Work OR related field - Required OR BSN
- License (nursing or clinical) - Preferred
- Minimum of five years experience in behavioral health field -Strongly Preferred
- Prior leadership (coordinator/supervisor) - Preferred
