Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide one-on-one care for pediatric and/or adult patients in home and school settings. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and according to the patient's individualized plan of care
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Monitor and document patient status, including changes in condition, behavior, or physical abilities
- Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation
- Support patients in school settings by promoting safety, comfort, and participation in educational activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the patient
- Communicate effectively with family members, school personnel, and healthcare team members
- Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in the state of practice
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Previous experience in home healthcare, pediatric care, long-term care, or school-based settings preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to pass background screening and any state-required clearances
