This premium position is deliberately structured to attract adaptable, high-caliber Medical-Surgical, Adult Health, General Medicine, General Surgery, and Floor Nurse RNs, as well as seasoned professionals seeking the autonomy of a Hospital Float Pool, Internal Resource Team (IRT), Centralized Staffing, or Flex Pool structure. Floating seamlessly across our diverse acute care units, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care—including clinical assessments, complex treatment plans, and post-operative recovery—focused primarily within our robust medical/surgical and telemetry lines. Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse delivers professional nursing care to population-specific patients on the Acute Inpatient Units to include, Acute Care Medicine, Acute Care Telemetry, Acute Care Cardiac, Acute Care Cardiopulmonary, Chest Pain, Neuroscience, Neuro-Stroke, Neuro Spine, Observation, Ortho Surgical Trauma, Post-Surgical. Follows the Board of Nursing’s (BON) Standards of Nursing Practice utilizing the nursing process in care delivery. Maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions within the parameters of their legal scope of practice and in accordance with the federal, state, and local laws; rules and regulations; and policies, procedures and guidelines of Gulf Coast Division (GCD).
What you will do in this role:
- Required to float to other areas in the facility within their competency range.
- Professional Nursing Organization Membership strongly encouraged.
- Certification in area of specialty preferred.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests.
- Ability to resolve conflicts among staff and to work collaboratively with department director, physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Ability to ensure operational efficiency, problem solve and make decisions.
- Ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.
