Job Summary:
The Industrial Generator Field Service Technician 1 is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of gas/diesel engines to ensure their safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled service activities on-site or at customer locations, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Support Service Coordination
Order processing
CVA and Service Order Management
Prepare service orders for invoicing by Service admin team, by collecting all needed data, invoices, labor sheets and manage spare parts returns.
Technical Information
Financial Management
Control of invoicing and closing orders accordingly offers prices and customer conditions.
Warehouse management support
Service Warehouse Manager with stock inventory process or audits.
Maintenance and Service Activities
Troubleshooting and Repairs
Documentation
Prepare detailed service reports, inspection protocols, picture documentation for internal and external reporting purposes. Prepare documentation folder and forward to designated Service Area Manager for activities for further use in time.

Customer Support
Internal Support
Resource Management
Planning and execution of work preparation and post-work follow-up. Maintenance of company vehicles, tools, and spare parts.
Conduct routine system testing, load-bank testing (under supervision), and operational checks.
Assist senior technicians with diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, including fuel, cooling, and starting systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults.
Perform basic generator commissioning, start ups, and integration with ATS.
Respond to basic service calls and support emergency after-hours work as needed.
Learn to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Additional Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background, drug, and medical requirements.
Soft Skills: Accuracy, organization, customer service, and used to travel.
Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
Work Environment:
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
Noise Level: Moderate, occasionally severe.
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to, steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses.
Additional Information:
Travel requirement of 70-90% (Local) and 20-30% (Outside local area).
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM - 24/7.
Overtime is based on business needs.
Company Service Trucks will be assigned to employees based on qualifications and business needs.
Position may require Special Government Clearance: Passing a US Government background check may be required as a job requirement.

Summary Pay Range:
$26.58 - $39.86
