The Vice President, Talent & Team Member Experience is a strategic, enterprise-level leader responsible for architecting and stewarding the talent, development, and team member experience agenda across APi Group's family of businesses. Serving a global organization of approximately 30,000 team members, this leader partners with executive leadership and our People Teams to advance our strategy, strengthen leadership capability, and sustain the entrepreneurial, values-based culture that defines APi. The role owns the integrated talent lifecycle, leads the team responsible for executing the work across the areas below, and translates business priorities into measurable people outcomes.
This role reports to the Chief People Officer.
What You Will Do
Leadership Scope
- Lead, coach, and develop the Talent and Team Member Experience team responsible for executing the enterprise work across talent management, team member experience, vendor partnerships, talent systems, talent acquisition, development, and internal mobility.
- Set clear priorities, operating rhythms, and accountability measures to ensure programs are delivered with consistency, quality, and measurable business impact across APi’s operating companies.
Talent Management & Strategy
- Architect the enterprise talent management strategy, aligning workforce planning, succession, and leadership development with long-term business objectives.
- Set the framework for performance management, calibration, and leadership assessment across the enterprise.
- Steward succession planning and pipeline building for critical roles, ensuring a healthy leadership pipeline and readiness for branch, president, and executive level.
- Partner with the Chief People Officer to inform talent narratives for the Board and investors and lead quarterly executive team talent meetings.
Team Member Experience
- Design, development, and execution of enterprise Team Member Experience programming, creating scalable interventions and experiences that strengthen culture, engagement, and retention across APi.
- Set the enterprise team member recognition strategy that reinforces APi's values and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Lead the Team Member Experience function to translate engagement insights into action that strengthens belonging and retention.
Vendor Management & Key Partnerships
- Strategic relationships with talent management, talent acquisition, and assessment vendors, ensuring value, quality, and alignment to enterprise standards.
- Cultivate internal and external networks and thought-leadership partnerships, such as i4cp, to bring best practices into the enterprise.
Talent and Culture Systems & Processes
- Steward the talent technology roadmap and process design to ensure scalable, data-informed talent operations.
- Set governance for talent and culture data, analytics, and reporting to enable insight-driven talent and culture decisions.
Talent Acquisition, Development & Internal Mobility
- Enterprise talent acquisition strategy, employer brand, and workforce sourcing models to attract and secure critical talent.
- Design, develop, and execute enterprise talent acquisition, development, and internal mobility programming, creating scalable solutions that strengthen talent pipelines, leadership readiness, and career growth opportunities across APi.
- Leadership Development Program (LDP), a rotational program developing future branch leaders, ensuring rigorous selection, meaningful rotations, and executive sponsorship.
- Champion a build-and-promote culture and internal mobility processes that prioritize internal advancement and career growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 15+ years of progressive HR/People team experience, including 5+ years leading people and teams.
- Track record of building engaged high-performing teams and cultures.
- Experience in a publicly traded, multi-entity organization of 10,000–40,000 team members.
- Demonstrated expertise across the full talent lifecycle: acquisition, development, performance, succession, and experience.
- Previous experience owning end-to-end enterprise surveys and People team scorecards.
- Strong command of people metrics, analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
- Business Mindset and Insight, Credible Influence, People Function Leadership, Professional Maturity, ability to navigate the organization, and strong collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Benefits and Compensation:
This role will be based out of our New Brighton office. The base pay range is $200-300k , depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
