Job Summary:
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our established Urology program at Retreat Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.
Qualified Candidates
· Urology experience as an Advanced Practice Provider or RN helpful
· Active Virginia licensure or ability to obtain.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Demonstrates clinical expertise, leadership, and teaching in patient care.
· Monday – Friday position supporting the Urology service line.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide comprehensive postoperative management of urology patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and coordination of discharge planning.
· Provide urology consultation services for inpatient and emergency department patients including evaluation, development of treatment plans, and coordinating with attending physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
· Respond to and manage acute urologic concerns and consults, including urinary retention, hematuria, infection, postoperative complication, catheter-related issues, and other urgent urologic conditions.
· Provide clinical coverage and management for patients receiving hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy, including assessment, treatment, care coordination during HBO treatment.
· Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, postoperative expectations, and follow-up care.
