Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Summary:
Responsible for facilitating a timely; integrated and coordinated approach to the care of patients with heart valve disease. Works closely with referring physicians, cardiac surgeons, and cardiologists and multi-disciplinary team to coordinate process improvements, valve case conference and coordinates a patients care plan communication and program. Additionally, responsible for the abstraction and submission of required cardiac data and for compliance with the Federal Mandate and/or HCA corporate mandate for submission of Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Registry and Transcatheter Valve Therapy (TVT) Registry within the defined time period. Provides recommendations for internal process improvement as it relates to the national cardiovascular surgery metrics.
Qualifications:
- 2 year Associates Degree Required; 4 year Bachelor Degree preferred
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- BLS (AHA)
- 1-3 years of nursing experience required; 3-5 years of nursing experience preferred
