Reporting to the Design Team Lead, the Senior Electrical Engineer is expected to take responsibility for elements of the design, development of electrical / electronic subsystem solutions from concept to sell off. This could be bespoke design or a collection of COT’s items to achieve a robust design solution.
You will facilitate the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture following a detailed phase-gate development process.
You will have the ability to produce technical documentation to support all activities, from trade studies, requirements documentation, compliance evidence and test documentation.
You will design and develop electrical / electronic sub-assemblies for low and high power DC systems.
You will analyse, test and evaluate electrical circuits, components and protection of harnesses.
You will be a strong team player with good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support other areas of the Business which could include planning, procuring, material controls, change control.
Good self-management, driven to get the results needed, robust organisational skills and flexibility in tasks undertaken.
