Position Overview
The Sales Representative is responsible for developing and growing customer relationships across the assigned market while driving aggregates and asphalt sales. This role serves as a trusted partner to customers by providing product expertise, identifying opportunities, and supporting successful project execution.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify opportunities to grow sales and achieve business targets
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment
- Analyze customer needs and recommend aggregates and asphalt solutions that support successful project outcomes
- Represent the company at industry and customer events to drive engagement
- Visit customer locations, active job sites, and paving operations to develop relationships, understand project needs, and identify growth opportunities
What Are We Looking For
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Proven ability to develop and manage accounts and close deals
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Comfortable with technology and CRM systems to manage workflow
- Drive to exceed goals while maintaining professionalism and integrity
- Experience in asphalt sales, asphalt paving operations, road construction, or a related asphalt industry environment is strongly preferred
Work Environment
- Territory-based role supporting customers throughout the greater Albany/Capital Region market, including areas from Kingston to Saratoga and west toward Middleburgh and surrounding locations.
- Combination of customer visits, job site visits, and office-based work.
- Monday through Friday with occasional customer meetings, networking events, and industry functions outside normal business hours.
