Lead Platform Engineer
JLLT Automation CoE | JBS Product Management
About the Role
This is a Senior Product Lead role within the Technology Product Management job family, with at least 15 years of relevant experience owning a product or platform end-to-end — from definition and planning through release, adoption and end-of-life. The role is the accountable central resource across design, engineering, quality and business teams. The person is required to own the product direction for Products like Everbridge, IBM Blueworks live, Scan2CAD, WoodWing, Klarity, Efficient Elements — defining requirements, setting priorities, and making build, release and retirement decisions in close partnership with subject matter experts across the business.
The role may have the opportunity to work with a gamut of other technologies ranging from RPA, BPM workflow, Productivity tools, OCR, gen AI, data transformation, integrations as projects scope dictates acting as accountable product owner and single point of coordination between BE&T, vendors and JLLT CoEs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Product Discovery & Onboarding — RFI/RFP, evaluation, VRAQ/security assessment, business case, POC setup.
- Coordinate Product Configuration & Setup — CDR review, OKTA/SSO, CMDB, Datadog, ITSM & tollgate configuration.
- Own Product Roadmap & Delivery — feature prioritization and evaluation, backlog management, regression testing, release/code promotion.
- Own Run the Business (RTB) — incident/problem mgmt (P1–P3), MIM bridge calls, BAU continuity.
- Facilitate workshops, roadmap reviews, and steering sessions to define current/future state processes, product requirements, and secure stakeholder alignment.
- Partner with business sponsors to translate strategic priorities into a phased product plan spanning definition, build, release, and end-of-life.
- Govern the business case, success metrics, and value tracking for productivity tools, reporting outcomes to leadership.
- Govern change, recovery & resilience — change/CAB process, DR/BCP exercises.
- Report across L0/L1/L2 KPI framework — cost, ROI, uptime, SLA compliance, product adoption/usage, action items.
- Manage product scope, budget, schedule, quality and stakeholder communications.
- Resolve technical/operational issues; escalate to EA, SRE or QA as needed.
Stakeholder Leadership & Governance
- Act as the accountable owner connecting business stakeholders, engineering, quality, and operations throughout each product's lifecycle.
- Lead executive and stakeholder communication on product direction, trade-offs, and release decisions.
Quality, Release & Change Management
- Own go-live decisions, release planning, and quality gates for productivity tools, ensuring solutions meet defined acceptance criteria before release.
- Direct UAT planning and sign-off, and the escalation and resolution of defects that impact release readiness.
- Lead adoption planning and organizational readiness for new releases and platform migrations.
- Govern delivery of automation/workflow solutions.
Documentation, Enablement & CoE
- Maintain product documentation, including roadmaps, process flows, data models, and user guides.
- Develop and deliver enablement and training materials that support adoption of productivity tools across the business.
- Define and evolve the CoE strategy, standards, and governance as part of the broader platform product roadmap.
- Own the reusable component and template strategy to accelerate delivery across the product portfolio, and maintain the knowledge base and governance repository.
- Lead onboarding and mentoring of developers and analysts contributing to productivity tools.
What You Need
- 15+ years product management: roadmapping, prioritization, documentation, multi-tool experience.
- Strong stakeholder management across business, vendors, and technical teams.
- Excellent workshop/meeting facilitation; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Agile & Waterfall frameworks; solid technical/requirements background.
- Desirable: Real Estate domain experience; customer service applications.
- GDPR/data privacy awareness; excellent written, verbal and presentation skills (English).
- Working knowledge of RACI-based operating models, tollgate governance, and KPI reporting.
Performance Objectives
- Become subject matter expert on JLL Business Process Management and assigned applications.
- Deliver phased rollout of the JBS Operating Model — validate RTB, extend product delivery governance, support full RACI enforcement toward steady state.
Key Skills
- Full product development lifecycle: discovery, design, configuration, testing, debugging, support.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset — comfortable making and defending product decisions across the full lifecycle, not only documenting requirements.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of product initiatives and competing priorities independently.
- Creative, outcome-driven thinker focused on achieving results.
- Skilled in a range of discovery techniques (brainstorming, user interviews, workshops) used to inform product strategy, not only requirements elicitation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and executive presence across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Agile/Scrum delivery; prototyping and modernization of JLL technology platforms.
- Advisory role on Enterprise Solutions, automation, and integrations.
- Talent-building: sourcing, partnering with vendors, upskilling teams.
- Apply capability scope appropriately by platform tier (1/2/3).
- Passionate about driving change, product adoption, and continuous improvement.
Employee Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field.
- 15+ years' experience with Configurable Products platforms (Everbridge, IBM Blueworks, Scan2CAD, Klarity, WoodWing, RecoSoft, Efficient Elements, Epiplex).
- Experience designing scalable business/system architecture.
- Cloud and AI delivery experience; geo-distributed systems a plus.
- Roadmap development: current state, future state, investment planning.
- Self-starter, autonomous, strong multi-tasking in dynamic environments.
