The On Wing Support Test Technician Level 3 directs engine prep/de‑prep, inspection, troubleshooting, and test operations for GE/CFM commercial engines. You will execute work in accordance with Standard Work, Repair Station Manuals, and all applicable technical references supporting safe, compliant, and high‑quality test outcomes. This role mentors’ others, drives continuous improvement, and supports throttle/test operations.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsiblefor leadingengine test executionandresolve any testing issuesbydrivingroot cause corrective actionandproblem-solvingeffortsfollowing theappropriateproblem-solvingtool, Repair Station Manuals, and GEPolicies&Procedures.
Able toleadprocess improvement opportunitiesinvolvingcross-functional teams including EHS, quality, engineering, planning, and materials to support operational initiatives, achieve strategic business objectives, and support constant improvement site-wide.
Mentorsothers to identify and apply, in any situation, the appropriate technical references such as Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Engine Shop Manuals, and Engine Illustrated Parts Catalogs.
Trains others to use and personally appliesFLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s proprietary operating systems,fundamentals and behaviors, the site’s Repair Station and Quality Control Manual, Training Manual, Test Cell Facility Operations Manual, and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
Accurately document work performed, discrepancies, and corrective actions; book time and maintain traceability in ERP systems.
Perform supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as a part of the site’s 5S and Total Proactive Maintenance initiatives.
Safely operate shop equipment (fork trucks, overhead cranes, tugs, etc.),coach others on operationsandGEAerospacePolicies&Procedures.
Ability to use mechanical ingenuity and make decisions in a fast-paced production environment in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
Availability to work flexible shift patterns as required including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to travel to remote international locations for initial training for an extendedperiod.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma / GED with 4+ years of hands-on work experience with advanced inspection and engine test equipment.
1+ years of leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to guide teams and drive execution.
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Powerplant License required.
Desired Characteristics:
Demonstrate proficiency inAircraft Engines Test experience,mechanical,Inspection,Borescope,Test Throttle Operator,Preliminary Review Designated Inspector,Engine Test troubleshooting.
Previous commercial high-bypass turbofan engine testing experience including prepping, de-prepping, engine test (test cell or on-wing), line maintenance, engine changes, LRU removal and installation, and troubleshooting.

Physical requirements: Regularly lift/push/pull up to [50]lbs,stand/walk for extended periods; climb ladders/stands; work at heights and in high‑noise environments; wear required PPE (hearing/eye protection, safety footwear, etc.)
Screening and compliance: Position requires successful background check, pre-employmentdrug screen, andcontinuous enrolment in the Drug and Alcohol program; export control eligibility may apply; customer‑site badging may be required.
