Job Summary and Qualifications
As the Lead Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you’ll be more than an expert in the lab—you’ll be the guide who sets the standard for excellence. In this role, you’ll balance lifesaving, hands-on patient care with the responsibility of mentoring, coaching, and empowering your team. With advanced technology and staffing resources available to you, your leadership will inspire confidence, strengthen teamwork, and ensure every patient receives safe, high-quality care. Your influence will extend beyond each procedure, shaping the growth of your colleagues and the future of our Cath Lab.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading by example during complex cardiac and vascular procedures, ensuring precision, safety, and compassionate care
- Coaching, mentoring, and precepting team members to build confidence, skill, and alignment with best practices
- Overseeing workflow, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining a safe, sterile, and fully prepared environment
- Advocating for patients and families throughout the care journey, providing guidance, education, and reassurance
- Driving team success by supporting hiring, onboarding, and communication of new practices and standards
What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- New hires will have 6 months from date of hire to obtain Cardiovascular Interventional (CI) certification
- Associate Degree
- (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer - (ARRT-R) Radiography, required with minimum one year of experience preferred. Or CVT (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI) required with minimum year experience in the Cath Lab.
- Highly prefer CVT with 1+ years' experience in Cath Lab; or EMT-I or higher certification with experience in EKGs.
