THE WORK
Manage a buyer’s desk focused on purchase activities and on-time delivery of frozen composite raw materials in support of Rotary product centers. This position allows telework greater than or equal to up to 50%. You may be required to work onsite up to two days a week in Stratford, CT to better support these operations.
• Serve as the primary interface with internal customers & stakeholders and with external subcontractors & suppliers. • Report status and performance metrics to product center management; ensure timely delivery and quality of services in support of program milestones. • Engage with cross-functional teams, such as Program Management, Operations, Supplier Quality and Engineering to achieve business objectives
Standard Job Description
Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontracts in support of development, production and global sustainment for multiple contract types. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages for review, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures. May sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
3 years of demonstrated direct experience in Purchasing, Expediting or a related Supply Chain discipline
SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Skills
Knowledge and experience buying under the guidelines of the FAR/DFAR, LMAP, CAP or other acquisition policies and procedures
Exhibit strong problem-solving and communication skills
Prior experience in a related industry preferred
Experience with supply chain activities, to include procurement systems, production schedules and IPT structures
Critical thinker / Problem solver
Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment
Strong time management, organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
