As the core material logistics project manager, the chosen candidate will be responsible for leading project initiatives aimed at improving Sikorsky material operations. This role is primarily reponsible for the following:
- Thinaer system implementation and improvement
- SMCC Product Owner & metric dashboards maintenance and upgrades
- Warehousing and Logistics Contract negotiations and management
- Identification and implementation of annual improvement initiatives
- MMAS audits and CAP completions
- 53E PBL Team (New Bern NC)
- Transactional / Financial forecasting
Standard Job Description
- Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
- Oversees the status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Monitors the assessment of project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Insures the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Basic Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of Agile and Traditional project methodologies along project life cycle. - Requires strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills in a high volume work environment.
- Must have ability to respond quickly and effectively to shifting priorities and emergency situations that could adversely impact customers.
- Requires proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS office applications and SAP with the ability to learn new programs that may be job specific.
- Must have demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement /Lean efforts and cost reduction initiatives.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00
