As an ESS SATCOM Systems Integration, systems engineering SME, you will:
- Act as a customer interface, foster customer relationship and interpret customer feedback into LM roles and responsiblities and execution team
- Perform cross-program coordination during development of intersegment and subsystem-level requirement/verification baselines
- Perform system analysis and interface definition across terminal, ground, and space segments
- Collaborate with segment and subsystem design engineering teams to drive integration in a systematic approach
- Perform cross-program coordination during development of intersegment verification, validation and test baselines
- Collaborate with the SEIT and external organizations to create end-to-end integrated solutions
- Lead and coordinate technical product development and reviews through the design lifecycle
- Guide systems integration efforts through the program lifecycle
- Foster customer relationship and interpret war-fighter needs into LM and System solutions

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technical discipline or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- 8 years of Systems Engineering Experience
- Strategic SATCOM mission knowledge and experience
- Experience with Systems Integration and engineering lifecycle on Space programs
- Experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines
- Active and Current Secret clearance required. Thus U.S. citizenship is required
Desired Skills
- Full lifecycle systems integration and engineering experience on Space programs
- AEHF Design, Integration, and Mission Experience
- 10 years of Systems Engineering Experience
- Customer intimacy and proactive inter-personal skills across all levels of stakeholders, with the ability to drive consensus on best ideas, processes, and products
- Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the following areas:
- RF or digital communications engineering
- Designing, testing or verifying communications Payloads or Payload units
- Terminals and system interfaces to terminals
- Operational ground system command and control
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to an audience with varied technical backgrounds
- Experience with customer facing reviews: SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work in self-directed manner, work independently, and leverage best practices
- Experience with CAMEO or MBSE
- Familiarity with Agile processes
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
