Overview
The
Supervisor Cashier is accountable for all cash and electronic transactions and is responsible for ensuring that all transactions are processed and reconciled accurately. This position trains new associates on Point of Sale (POS) systems, conducts cash drawer counts with the outgoing shift lead to verify accurate balances and reporting, and checks in with cashiers throughout the shift to assist with cash drops and change requests. The Supervisor Cashier provides excellent customer service, assists patrons with questions and information, prepares operations for the next shift, conducts money audits and supply checks, verifies that cashiers have all required paperwork, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and customer-focused work environment while ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all cashiers to make sure work is completed appropriately
• Accept accountability for cash transactions
• Assure all transactions are accounted for correctly
• Train new associates on Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Count down cash drawer with previous shift lead present to ensure accurate counts and reporting
• Check in with cashiers, no less than once an hour, for drops and change needs
• Provide customer service and information to patrons and prep for next shift. Including money audits, supply checks, verifying the cashier has all needed paperwork to complete their duties
• Ensure quality service, customer satisfaction, clean facility areas, and a safe work environment

• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided
