Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a Network or Software Developer-related occupation.
Position requires:
- Six years of experience in network and software development;
- Experience in Optical DWDM networking across metro, terrestrial, and long-haul environments;
- Optical network technologies: ROADM / FOADM, Mux/Demux, Flex Mux/Demux, transponders, client pluggables, coherent and non-coherent optical systems, EDFA, and Raman amplifiers;
- Optical operations performance: Span loss mitigations and optimization, and Pre-FEC BER improvement;
- DWDM hardware proficiency: Transponder technologies, OTDR, OSA, OCS, BERT, and Power meters;
- Network technologies and protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF;
- Cloud networking, cloud computing, cloud AI network infrastructure, HPC, and GPU systems;
- Experience in Network operations, network support, incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and recovery execution;
- Experience developing network automation or device management solutions;
- Proficiency with Python and Object-Oriented programming; Query development, data analysis, and REST API;
- Network modeling and programmability: YANG, OpenConfig, and NETCONF;
- 12.Linux and shell-based operations;
- Jira, Git, code review, version control, and change control best practices;
- Cloud networking, high performance computing, and GPU systems;
- Scrum and Agile methodologies;
- Network compliance, change management, and vendor engagement on major maintenances;
- Multi-vendor optical networking environments; and
- Software upgrade validation, network stability verification, reachability testing, and traffic-impact analysis.
