We are seeking an on-site Sustaining Operations Program Manager (OPM) to oversee our server and rack product lines. You will serve as the primary on-site leader working directly with our contract manufacturers (CMs). Your goal is to maximize line stability, optimize yield, and reduce costs after mass production launch. You will bridge the gap between our internal engineering teams and the factory floor until product end-of-life.
Internal Responsibilities
- On-Site CM Management: Lead daily operations directly at the contract manufacturing partner site. Oversee server and rack assembly, testing, and shipping schedules.
- Production Stability: Monitor factory output and fix capacity bottlenecks fast.
- Yield & Quality Control: Track factory data and field returns (RMA) to find root causes for quality drops. Maintain strict yield targets.
- Cost Optimization: Lead Value Engineering (VAVE) projects to cut waste and lower the total cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Engineering Changes: Guide cross-functional teams through Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) without stopping the production line.
- Supply Support: Work with supply chain teams to find secondary parts and prevent factory line shutdowns.
