The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth, and we are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy’s mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense. You will be a key member of the systems engineering team, performing environmental analysis, problem investigation, and coordinating directly with our Navy partners. This position will employ you to determine, manage and assess how the missile system is fielded, requiring work within a diverse system life cycle spanning transport logistics, stowage in the boat, launch and flight.
Duties include:
- Facilitate team interaction among stakeholders
- Execute to team milestones & deliverables
- Generate, maintain, and negotiate deliverable schedule
- Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system level design and decomposition into requirements
- Coordinate analysis with flight sciences to support verification and investigations
- Perform system analysis and interface definition
- Perform systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution
- Develop plans to on-ramp new mission capabilities while protecting the primary mission
- Lead and support design reviews, technical product reviews, and system safety review
- Support failure investigations and anomaly resolution boards
- Develop comprehensive solutions to sophisticated problems that connect the detailed, technical needs to transformational concepts and create opportunities for innovation
- Support Missile production and test activities at component manufacturers and the Strategic Weapons Facilities
- Drive anomaly investigations to closure
- Perform data reviews and provide feedback to test and integration teams
- Support systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution and find opportunities for build flow and test efficiencies

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
