AOC Operations SME
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly experienced Air Operations Center (AOC) Operations Subject Matter Expert to support the modernization, transformation, and operational optimization of complex C2 environments. This role blends deep operational expertise with an understanding of technical modernization efforts including architecture, data pathways, workflow automation, and mission‑system integration as reflected in current AOC technical planning, architectural workstreams, and enablement activities documented across internal AOC project plans and technical tasking files. You’ll leverage expertise executing AOC battle rhythm activities and leading improvements across Strategy, Plans, Operations, ISR, and Air Mobility divisions, with the ability to shape requirements that drive enterprise‑scale operational enhancement.
How You'll Contribute:
- Serve as the operational SME for AOC processes, supporting mission threads spanning strategy development, MAAP or ATO production, targeting, ISR synchronization, and dynamic execution
- Translate AOC operational needs into actionable system, workflow, and architectural requirements supporting modernization, automation, and performance improvements
- Support operational planning and scenario development for modernization tasking areas aligned with AOC warfighter architecture, enablement, and acceleration workstreams
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to optimize mission workflows and ensure emerging capabilities align with operational needs
- Identify inefficiencies, manual processes, and operational bottlenecks, and partner with technical teams to define improvements
- Provide operational input into modernization planning, KRADOS‑related capabilities, and C2 system enhancement activities
- Support system evaluation, workflow analysis, and end‑to‑end mission thread assessments to ensure new capabilities enhance tempo, accuracy, and decision superiority
- Brief senior government and military leadership on operational impacts, modernization priorities, and capability gaps
- Facilitate collaboration across government, engineering, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment of mission needs and technical solutions

You Have:
- 8+ years of experience with AOC operations across one or more divisions such as Combat Plans, Combat Ops, ISR, Strategy, Air Mobility, AMD, COD, or ISRD
- Experience in operational planning and execution processes including ATO or ACO production, Master Air Attack Plan development, dynamic targeting, ISR collection management, and real‑time C2 operations
- Experience supporting or leading modernization efforts for C2, ISR, or other mission‑critical enterprise systems
- Ability to articulate operational requirements to technical teams and translate technical changes back into mission impact
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with AOC enterprise modernization efforts, including architectural activities, digital engineering, KRADOS‑related development, and workstreams captured in internal AOC project documentation
- Experience supporting tech‑enabled transformation for warfighter workflows, data integration, automation, or decision‑support tooling
- Experience with MBSE, workflow modeling, or operational thread analysis for C2 and ISR environments
- Experience collaborating with AFLCMC or HBB, AFRL, or joint C2 modernization organizations
- Ability to speak to tactical, operational, and technical audiences
- Possession of strong briefing and stakeholder‑engagement skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
