Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) is one of Lockheed Martin’s best-in-class Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity and reliability. Controls Engineering is an organization within FBM that facilitates control of the missile through servo actuators, gas hydraulic systems and small rocket motors. We are a community of engineers looking for a dependable project engineer to join our tight-knit group. The Post Boost Controls group is an organization within FBM that is responsible for the design and production support of the systems that control the missile after boost. This position is for a cost account manager (CAM) in a Post Boost Control System (PBCS) hardware IPT that both collaborates well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills. In this role, you will have numerous opportunities to represent the IPT with our Navy partner, LM leadership, and suppliers, with many opportunities for career development along the way. The PBCS hardware IPTs are responsible for the development, manufacture, and management of the PBCS hardware which is part of an attitude control and propulsive subsystem controlling the missile in a phase of the flight.

Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
