We are seeking compassionate and reliableDirect Care Workers (DCWs)to provide support to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and/or physical disabilities in the Bethlehem area. The ideal candidate is dedicated to helping others achieve greater independence, safety, and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and maintaining independence
- Accompany clients to community activities, appointments, and social outings
- Monitor and document client progress and wellbeing
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Encourage participation in recreational and life skills activities
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous direct care, caregiving, home health, or related experience is a plus
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass background checks and pre-employment screenings
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed
