Job Description The Test Technician IV is a highly skilled and experienced technical professional responsible for the testing, validation, and troubleshooting of complex systems and components for the FOTD Factory. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring the performance and reliability of cutting-edge technology. The Test Technician IV works independently and as part of a team to execute test plans, analyze data, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Dual Band Decoy system testing processes.
This position is on 1st shift working a 4/10 schedule Monday through Thursday!
(5:30am-4pm)Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education/Experience:
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 3years experience in a testing environment
- Active secret clearance
Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures based on engineering specifications and requirements.
- Perform functional, integration, system, and performance testing of hardware, software, and related systems.
- Operate and maintain a wide variety of sophisticated test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, logic analyzers, and automated test equipment (ATE).
- Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and troubleshoot failures to the component level.
- Document test results accurately and completely in written reports and databases.
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve technical issues and provide feedback on design improvements.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of testing processes and procedures.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on testability and manufacturability.
- Maintain accurate records of test equipment calibration and maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Test electronic and electro-mechanical units using standard and RF test equipment. Analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment
- Follows complex test specifications, test procedures and verbal instructions in order to perform a variety of routine standard tests.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, hardware specifications, schematics, or written work instructions.
- Working knowledge of electronic theory and components.
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze failures using electronic test equipment and software. Diagnoses minor deficiencies in equipment and recommends rework where necessary.
- Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and drive toward departmental and company goals.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of electronic principles and circuitry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems to the component level.
- Expertise in operating and maintaining a wide range of test equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Experience with specific automated test equipment (ATE) platforms.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD standards and government contracting requirements.
- Experience with configuration management and change control processes.
- IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001).
- Experience with data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW).
- Vibe Test Experience.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $66017 - $105628
