Job Summary and Qualifications
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on normal and emergency electrical power distribution equipment, fire alarm systems, and nurse call systems. Works with blueprints, schematics, diagrams, handbooks, and equipment manufacturers manuals to diagnose system or equipment failures and identify proper parts for replacement or repair. Assists in training of other electricians on preventive maintenance procedures, repair and operation of new equipment. Assist Lead Electrician in locating information about and enrollment in continuing education classes. Provide technical input and recommendations regarding the repair and replacement of existing equipment and new equipment purchases. Assists in the installation of new equipment, be proficient in the operation of the fire alarm system, and demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the operation and repair of the nurse call system. Completes required paperwork accurately thoroughly and promptly. Documents all activities and work orders on TMA computer networking system.
What qualifications you will need:
Experience with electrical testing equipment. Knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems required.
2 to 4 years technical school training or 7 years’ experience in the electrical field required.
