Shift:
- 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST)
- 2nd shift (3:00 PM-11:00 PM EST)
- 3rd shift(11:00 PM-7:00 AM EST)
Equipment: All necessary PPE, welding equipment, uniform (including shoes), and consumable supplies required to perform the job safely and effectively are provided by Honeywell.
Job Summary
As a Welder at Honeywell Technologies, you are helping to meet the world's rising energy demands by designing and building innovative heat exchangers. These exchangers use a liquefaction process to transform natural gas into liquid for safe and economical storage and transport, providing energy solutions across the globe. You will support the fabrication and assembly of industrial equipment through welding, pipefitting, and setup activities. Working under the direction of the Welding Supervisor, you will ensure work is safe, efficient, and to our top-quality standards. Approximately 40% of the role involves welding, with the remaining time focused on fit-up, setup, and pipefitting. Most welding is performed on aluminum (90%), with some stainless-steel work (10%). Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations in accordance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements
- Utilize semi-automatic and manual welding processes to complete assigned work
- Perform fitting, cutting, grinding, and finishing operations as required
- Inspect completed welds for quality and identify any defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure proper operation of welding equipment
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and workplace regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Welder Level 1 Required Qualifications
- Welding certification
- Knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with AWS welding symbols
- Basic understanding of mathematics, geometry, angles, and the metric measurement system
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Willingness and ability to:
- Work at heights up to 30 feet
- Work in confined spaces
- Lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control regulations (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Welder Level 2 Required Qualification
- Meets all Level 1 qualification requirements and has 3 to 5 years of welding experience
Welder Level 3 Required Qualification
- Meets all Level 2 qualification requirements and has over 5 years of welding experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Level 1 & 2: Experience welding aluminum is preferred but not required
- Level 3: Experience welding aluminum, pressure vessel welding and x-ray pipe welding is strongly preferred

Once converted to full-time:
Welder Full Time Pay Information (post SkillBridge program completion)
- 3,000 sign-on bonus, payable in accordance with company policy
- Base rate listed below; $2/hour additional pay differential for 2nd and 3rd shift; annual production-based incentive for all levels
- Level 1: $25.00+/hour
- Level 2: $28+/hour
- Level 3: $31+/hour
- Opportunity to earn production-based incentive compensation of up to 4% of annual base salary, based on performance and productivity metrics
