The Role
As the Chief Technical Nuclear Advisor in KBR’s Government Solutions APAC organisation, you will be responsible for developing KBR’s brand and reputation in Australia as a trusted nuclear steward through:
building and maintaining relationships within the Nuclear eco-system (key Defence, civil and academic organisations)
proactively identifying and pursuing nuclear opportunities aligned with KBR’s AUKUS go to market strategy
collaborating with senior management, customers, governmental agencies, regulators, and vendors to achieve KBR’s strategic goals.
You will also provide independent technical advice to captures, projects and leadership an perform engineering work to verify KBR’s capability of meeting requirements within customer constraints.
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
Understand KBR’s global capabilities and how they align with the KBR’s APAC strategy for growth, especially in the areas of AUKUS Pillar 1, Sustainment & Modernisation and Consultancy vectors.
Identify and realise opportunities to harness capabilities across KBR globally and key partners through collaboration. Understanding and analyse the customer requirements, translating them into leading capability solutions for the Australian Defence Force in nuclear engineering, nuclear stewardship and the nuclear regulatory framework in regard to the full life cycle of nuclear energy and the AUKUS SSN’s.
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key Defence, civil and academic organisations, positioning KBR and our Frazer-Nash Consultancy as a trusted nuclear steward.
Demonstrate thought leadership in the industry and with the Defence customer in the areas of nuclear stewardship, nuclear regulation and workforce development to support Australia’s SSN ambitions resulting in heighten standing of KBR/FNCA.
Influence and advise GS APAC and the broader KBR in the development and delivery of nuclear assurance and stewardship solutions to the Australian defence force.
Recognised internally and externally as a Nuclear SME, technically proficient and astute.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
Essential:
Provides thought leadership.
Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Science / Engineering.
At least 20 years of related experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Exceptional client and stakeholder management skills
