Senior GEOINT Quality Test Engineer (GQTE)
The Senior GEOINT Quality Test Engineer (GQTE)will have extensive experience successfully performing GEOINT quality risk analysis, test planning, and test performance of GEOINT data, systems, applications, and services. The Senior GQTE will provide technical and process leadership to GEOINT Quality team members to ensure the spread of standard test practices and knowledge, and so should demonstrate the vision, guidance, and leadership skills necessary to conceive the initial test to address GEOINT quality risks introduced by design, development requirements, and/or system/data integration. This should include detailed experience and knowledge with NSG TCPED processes, workflows, and architecture. The Senior GQTE should have extensive experience designing, executing, and reporting results of effective GEOINT quality and functional tests, developing effective collection plans, capturing, and reporting issues, and adapting existing test strategies to new and evolving capabilities. The Senior GQTE should also demonstrate experience supporting test automation, test driven development, and test process and procedural improvements.
Responsibilities:
Extensive experience successfully conducting Analysis/Gathering, Test Planning, Test Case Development, Test Execution, Test Automation, and Test Reporting related to GEOINT quality concerns for both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Demonstrated broad experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programs
Demonstrated experience designing and applying manual test cases and automation scripts to address GEOINT quality risks
Experience or relevant knowledge demonstrating the ability to actively support the automation strategy/effort for modernizing the GEOINT quality test mission
Experience or working knowledge with cloud development processes
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with industry system engineering practices
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and provide effective and innovative solutions
Proven track record ensuring the logical and systematic realization of verification and test requirements into system solutions to meet program objectives (e.g. test scenarios, test plans, defect tracking, lessons learned)
Strong interpersonal skills to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadership
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Master’s degree plus 10 years of experience, Bachelor’s degree plus 12 year experience in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
The Subject Mater Expert (SME) should be familiar with NSG & ASG standards in the following functional areas:
Still Imagery standards including, but not exclusive to:NITF , NITF Extensions (MIE4NITF, SIDD, SICD, etc.)
NATO Imagery STANAGs (NSIF, for instance)
Motion Imagery standards & phenomenologies including, but not exclusive to: Electro Optical (EO) , Large Volume Motion Imagery (LVMI)/Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI)
Infrared Motion Imagery Standards (IR)
Multispectral Imaging (MSI) Hyper spectral imaging (HSI)
Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI (with poly preferred)
