This role is with KBR’s GAM, Global Asset Management group. At GAM, we provide our customers with a range of services including Regulatory and Customer Compliance of Property Systems, Import/Export Trade Compliance, Material Management, Stockrooms/Tool Cribs/Receiving, Engineering Tool Design and Rework/Repairs, Records Management, Distribution Services, Capital Asset Management, Development & Production-Equipment Maintenance, and Facilities Project Management.
As a Maintenance Mechanic - Electrical Controls, you will:
- Perform a wide variety of technical duties including diagnosing / troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing electrical and electronic circuits and equipment in support of production operations and electromechanical systems.
- Maintain a variety of CNC machines, lathes, mills, vacuum pumps, electronic machine controls / controllers and lasers.
- Take direction from customers for equipment upgrades and other modifications.
- Perform research on parts, equipment, or other solutions as required to assist engineering and maintenance staff.
- Create custom fabrications.
- Learn to use our production equipment software, including program parameters, operating settings, and programmable logic controllers.
- Perform device level repair (soldering) or replacement.
- Maintain tools and equipment, and a clean work environment.
- Help coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and set-up work sites.
REQUIREMENTS
- MUST BE ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY (Skillbridge Applicant)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of related experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
- Must be comfortable with periodically working in a production environment following all PPE, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Safety protocols.
- Must be proficient in the use of hand tools and test equipment.
- Requires experience programming PLC's.
- Must possess a working knowledge of the national electric code and advanced fundamentals of electricity and demonstrate the ability to read and understand electrical schematics, PLC's, repair and maintenance manuals, and detail drawings.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to walk, squat, lean, reach, and stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with CMMS.
- Requires experience testing and troubleshooting using equipment such as DVM's, oscilloscopes, AC & DC power supplies.
