This role is with KBR’s GAM, Global Asset Management group. At GAM, we provide our customers with a range of services including Regulatory and Customer Compliance of Property Systems, Import/Export Trade Compliance, Material Management, Stockrooms/Tool Cribs/Receiving, Engineering Tool Design and Rework/Repairs, Records Management, Distribution Services, Capital Asset Management, Development & Production-Equipment Maintenance, and Facilities Project Management.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electric/Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for troubleshooting and repairing intricate electrical and mechanical systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the innovation, sustainment and modernization of our operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of equipment, including electrical, mechanical, PLC, robotic, and manufacturing systems.
- Accurately diagnose and resolve equipment failures through systematic troubleshooting.
- Install and calibrate new equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Prioritize health and safety by adhering strictly to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Utilize CMMS and Microsoft programs for efficient work order management and data entry.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in training and mentoring less experienced technicians.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to identify and implement innovative solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Basic Qualifications
- MUST BE ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY (SkillBridge Applicant)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Technical degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems.
- Experience working with robotic systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in utilizing a variety of tools and test equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to walk, squat, lean, reach, and stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA certification is preferred.
