Systems Engineers, (T&E)
KBR is seeking talented Systems Engineers with a background in test and evaluation (T&E) to join our Hemisphere team in El Segundo, CA. Qualified applicants will have experience and background in science and technology (S&T) research, and appreciation for S&T application and transition plans on filling capability gaps for the US Space Force. Individuals will serve as technical trusted advisors throughout the entire S&T lifecycle to include identifying, assessing, monitoring, and conducting feasibility assessments for successful transition to programs of record for Space Systems Command (SSC) within the Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDACP) portfolio.
Job Duties Include:
- Identify modern technologies, advancements, systems, and related S&T opportunities applicable for space control missions or known architectural gaps new technology could close on
- Collaborate with industry partners, academia, federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs), and experts in the space control domain to assess S&T advancements and relevant research thrust areas
- Work with Government developmental and operational test agencies/organizations to develop adequate test methodologies for S&T initiatives consistent with program office mission criteria and partnered stakeholders on feasibility studies on transition plans into programs of record where applicable
- Lead and/or participate in test working groups which plan, status, and discuss test related activities for S&T efforts
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s Degree in a technical degree pursuit and over 10 years of relevant experience in S&T processes for the DoD (Air Force, Space Force, and SSC):
- Expert in systems engineering and test policy/execution of large-scale space-based and ground-based space systems and/or new start technical demonstration space and ground systems
- Deep knowledge of authoring test plans, test requirements and associated documentation for S&T processes
- Extensive familiarity with academia, industry and FFRDC partners within the S&T community
- Knowledgeable with test engineering processes and tool development applicable to streamlining transition of S&T opportunities to programs of record
- Experience with Department of Defense Test & Evaluation policies and procedures for quickly identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on modern space control technologies
- Active TS SCI clearance
- Willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs
Desired:
- ITEA Certified Test & Evaluation Professional and/or INCOSE Certified Systems Engineer Professional credentials.
This salary target range is if for the stat on El Segundo area only
$175,000……………$200,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
