Lead the overall Quality strategy, planning, and execution for the AMRAAM Production Program, ensuring alignment with Q&MA policies, contractual requirements, and product performance requirements.

Lead a team of highly skilled Quality professionals, providing guidance, support, and direction while fostering engagement and motivation.

Partner closely with Program Management to identify risks, implement mitigation plans, and ensure quality performance supports cost, schedule, and technical objectives.

Oversee root cause analysis, corrective action activities, and closure of key quality issues affecting production, supplier performance, or field reliability.

Own quality metrics and leading indicators for the program; analyze trends and present actionable insights to program and functional leadership.

Provide oversight and support to Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure effective process control, configuration management, and compliance with AS9100, government standards, and internal procedures.

Serve as the primary liaison with DCMA, customer quality representatives, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely resolution of quality-related concerns.

Lead audits, assessments, and investigations related to production performance, supplier quality, and mission assurance.

Support continuous improvement initiatives, including defect reduction, process optimization, and yield improvement across AMRAAM production lines.

Ensure appropriate quality staffing, capability development, and team readiness for present and future production demands.

Promote a culture of proactive quality engagement, accountability, and mission-focused performance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience

Relevant experience is working in quality, engineering or manufacturing within the defense or aerospace industries.

Experience in AS9100, government / Department of War (DoW) quality requirements, and/or complex weapon-system production environments.

Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving complex issue resolution.

Use of CORE (or other continuous improvement) tools / methodologies
-
Experience with root cause analysis, statistical tools, and/or quality systems.
-
Experience working with cross-functional, cross-disciplined teams at all levels.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:

Master’s or Advanced Degree is a plus.

American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certification.

Experience with Raytheon Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM)
-
Experience deploying elements of NPI, APQP (DFMEA, KC, PFD, PFMEA etc.) on development programs.

Proven ability to interface effectively with senior leaders, customers, and government representatives.

Experience using communication skills – both written and verbal.

Experience influencing both cross-functional and supplier partners to achieve business goals.

Successful track record of overseeing initiatives and delivering business solutions that result in reduced operating costs, maximized profit, and optimum customer satisfaction.

Experience leading by example, strong mentorship aptitude who fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
