Job Summary and Qualifications
Summary:
- The Wound/Ostomy Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for development, coordination, and monitoring of the hospital’s Wound/Ostomy Program.
- The Wound/Ostomy Nurse establishes standards of care and clinical competencies to meet patient needs, and staff training to ensure clinical expertise
- The Wound/Ostomy Nurse works collaboratively with the medical staff, and provides education to patients, caregivers, and staff on wound, ostomy, and continence care
Qualifications:
- Valid California RN license
- Current BCLS certification
- WOCN or Wound Certification
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN, MSN Preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years acute care hospital experience in area of specialty
