Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Ally Internship Program guides and mentors students with development opportunities and experiences that support your career interests while also driving the business forward. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with diverse teams and functions across the company. You will interact with Ally’s leadership and learn from their personal successes. You will gain the experience to know what it means to be an Ally!
The Work Itself
As part of our Internship Program, you will have an opportunity to:
Have hands on experience and project-based work
Attend Orientation, Executive Speaking Series, and learning sessions as an Intern cohort
Participate in Mentoring Program and Giving Back Events
Network with your peers, your team, and those Allys you find interesting
Lead an end of assignment presentation
The Details:
Internship Program Timing: May 26 – August 7, 2027
40 hours each week with a mix of in-office and remote working days
Project-based work
Market competitive hourly compensation and a sign-on bonus, as well as financial housing assistance for those who qualify
Successful interns will have the opportunity to return to Ally in an Early Talent Program or full-time role, or to a second internship, depending upon graduation timing.
The Work Itself
Areas of Opportunity:
Sponsor / Specialty Finance: provides middle-market leverage lending dedicated to supporting key private equity relationships.
Capital Markets: provides the flexibility of Priority Revolvers in large transactions and assists deal teams to structure, price, and distribute the debt to other lenders.
Real Estate: provides cash flow and asset-based financing for healthcare facilities, multi-family residential complexes, industrial buildings, and student housing.
Technology Finance: provides debt solutions to (i) growth stage, venture-capital backed technology companies and (ii) private equity-backed technologies businesses that have a traditional leveraged finance profile.
Lender Finance: finances asset managers through carefully structured asset-based loan.
The Skills You Bring
Required Qualifications:
Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2029
Well-rounded in academics, volunteering, and fun!
Eager to challenge the status quo
Majoring in Finance or taking finance courses
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to collaborate well in teams
A rising Junior or Senior (during the time of internship) in a full-time undergraduate program
Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
A passion for the financial services and technology industry is strongly preferred
Previous internship experience, extracurricular activities, and leadership experience
Candidates should reside in a commutable distance from the Ally location to which they are assigned

- High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Base Pay Range
$25.00 - $29.00
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation:
This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
