Lynn AP supports a wide range of engineering activity including design, analysis, and testing across new, derivative, and existing engines.
The mechanical design engineer will be responsible for mechanical design and development of cold airfoils as part of the fan module team. In this role, the engineer will utilize engineering experience to solve problems and recommend technical solutions partnering with teammates and technical experts. This role is best suited for a collaborative problem solver with a desire to deepen their mechanical design expertise and develop new solutions to challenging technical problems. Effectively working with teammates and peers in adjacent organizations will be necessary for successful project execution to impact short-term and long-term business goals.

Role Overview
TheMechanical Design Engineer - Fan Airfoilswill be responsible for the mechanical design and development ofcold airfoilsas part of the fan module team. In this role, you will apply engineering fundamentals to solve problems and recommend technical solutions while partnering closely with teammates and subject matter experts.
The role is well-suited for a collaborative problem solver who wants to deepen mechanical design expertise and develop new solutions to challenging technical problems. Strong cross-functional execution with adjacent engineering and manufacturing organizations is key to delivering short- and long-term program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Fan Airfoil Design & Analysis: Execute design and analysis of fan airfoils by applying engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements, with guidance from experienced teammates and technical experts. Technical Documentation: Properly document technical data generated through design and analysis work. Technical Skill Development: Develop specialized knowledge in fan airfoils mechanical design and integration into the fan module/engine; stay current with technical developments and internal processes. Manufacturing & Procurement Support: Partner with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate hardware manufacture and procurement. Issue Escalation & Action Planning: Communicate significant issues or challenges in a timely manner and collaborate with the people leader and teammates to develop and execute action plans for resolution. Technical Communication: Prepare and present technical data along with recommendations or conclusions to internal and external customer audiences. Project Execution: Lead small projects within the fan module, balancing some risk and resource requirements while maintaining schedule and technical rigor.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain aU.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret level
Additional Information
The base pay range for this position is$98,900.00 - $124,200.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.This posting is expected to close on September 17th, 2026
