The Data Center legal team within Oracle’s legal department is responsible for providing legal support for complex data center arrangements, including for colocation, build-to-suit leases, networking, and power and energy transactions with data center providers. This team works closely with Oracle executives to review, shape, and implement initiatives impacting data center development, including power and energy requirements, site selection, land use, permitting, and zoning.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys solving complex challenges, partnering with cross-functional business teams, and working at the intersection of technology, infrastructure, and sustainability. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys, business leaders, engineering, real estate, construction, energy procurement, sustainability, and government affairs teams to help support Oracle's cloud infrastructure growth.

Internal Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- At least 8 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, government agency, or in-house legal department ideal. Position is opened at Managing Counsel level; one level lower (Sr. Corporate Counsel) and one level higher (Sr. Managing Counsel) will also be considered.
- A demonstrated track record of advising clients on complex infrastructure financing or transactional matters.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Data center colocation arrangements and contracts;
- Data center leasing and build-to-suit agreements; and
- Large scale infrastructure financing.
- Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and counseling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues to non-lawyers.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, while working to develop internal guidance, templates, and best practices to support consistent legal advice across Oracle's expanding data center portfolio.
