Position Summary
Designs, develops, and implements digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting business applications.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
- Experience developing and consuming APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), source control, code reviews, and Agile development practices.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving application issues in development, test, and production environments.
- Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Understanding of security best practices, secure coding standards, and vulnerability remediation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5-6 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale software applications.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps principles.
- Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of database technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with application performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, or driving engineering best practices is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing business priorities.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$79,310.00 - $158,620.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
