Your Role And Responsibilities
Senior Designer, IBM Corporation, Austin, TX (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):
- Manage project engagements including deliverables (such as concepts, wireframes, interactive prototypes, specifications) engagement agreements and timelines.
- Design user experiences alongside key product stakeholders to understand and support product business goals, advocating user centered design using human factors, and manage design resources.
- Translate business requirements to end-user needs and create differentiated design solutions.
- Mentor junior designers and User Experience professionals, lead team in design thinking and agile methodologies.
- Direct the user experience design direction and implementation for a major product line.
- Leverage a solid understanding of UX design principles to create compelling user experiences.
- Address complex web design problems and provide design solutions that meet user needs.
- Create wireframes and interactive prototypes for large/complex mobile and web applications using human factors principles.
- Create graphics and layouts for enterprise web applications.
- Lead usability research and test efforts including task analysis, user testing, surveys and persona development with target users.
- Utilize: Sketch/Figma/Adobe XD, UX Research methodologies (usability testing/interviews), Mural/Miro, JIRA/Airtable, Agile/Scrum, InVision, Design Systems.
Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Graphic Design or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a UX Designer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Sketch/Figma/Adobe XD, UX Research methodologies (usability testing/interviews), Mural/Miro, JIRA/Airtable, Agile/Scrum, InVision, Design Systems. $224,325 – $274,325 per year. Required Technical And Professional Expertise
