Standard Job Description
Supports development of quality plans and procedures in accordance with customer requirements for both make and buy items. Ensures the conformance to company and regulatory standards. Initiates, reviews, analyzes and reports on quality-related data/metrics from production, service, supplier or process improvement activities and analyzes using statistical techniques. Interfaces as needed with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure process requirements are met. Supports the development of disposition and corrective actions for recurring product/process discrepancies for both make and buy items. Reviews completed assembly, process, test, mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical quality records to determine data accuracy, acceptability and completeness. Manages the quality records control process to assure adequate accountability and traceability. Develops and maintains governing procedures related to records control. Supports product acceptance and delivery per established process.
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced understanding and experience completing root cause analysis and corrective action planning
- Advanced understanding of AS9100 standard and experience with reviewing or performing AS9102 First Article Inspections
- Advances understanding of statistical and data analytic skills
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured products
- An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Desired Skills
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certified
- Generally has 8+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
- Experience with Minitab, Tableau, and Business Objects for data analytic/dashboard creation
- F-35 production operations experience
- Experience with Low Observable (LO) Finishes/Coating Technology and/or processes
- Experience with Product-Quality methods either from the quality or manufacturing perspective
- Ability to effectively navigate complex product and process-related requirements to validate nonconformances and develop corrective actions in coordination with DCMA and Production colleagues.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Systems, Shop Floor Manager (SFM) or similar manufacturing management systems, Product Data Management (PDM) or similar engineering database, Quality Assurance Documentation System (QADS) or similar system.
- American Society for Quality (ASQ): Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQOE) certification.
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations.
- Conduct/coordinate process and product evaluations and assessments.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $109700.00 - $203700.00
