Job Summary
As an Imaging Assistant, you would assist the technologists working all modalities within the Imaging Department, including: Xray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology. You will prep and screen patients prior to imaging exam/procedure.
- You would assist technologists in verifying patient identity and general patient mobility and positioning in the exam room.
- Assist patients, families and friends as needed; escorts patients to correct locations for imaging studies.
- Facilitates communication between the Imaging Services Department and members of the medical staff and other hospital departments.
- Ensures quality care to patients, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards.
- You will assist with the provision of all clerical services in the department.
- Proactively address patient satisfaction issues related to delays.
- Review written orders and accurately transcribes into the electronic medical record system, entering appropriate history as written on the order.
What qualifications you will need:
- Excellent organization/time management skills.
- Experience in hospital environment a plus.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
