Job Summary and Qualifications
The Supply Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating surgical supplies with outside vendors, ensuring surgical suites are ready and prepared for scheduled procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of surgical instruments
- Assumes responsibility for vendor relations, including instrument education, new items, DHP clearance and vendor notification 72hrs prior to any scheduled case
- Participates in OR inventory counts - Hospital owned implant/charge items reordered and conducts Par reviews
- Arrange Frozen Tissue orders and maintain PAR levels
- Enter utilized human tissue into UDI Tissue Tracker and send information card to appropriate company
- Service requests through third party vendors and GE-Biomed. Maintain log of requests and dates of service
- Builds and enters supply items in Meditech and VIRA, requests new supplies in SMART system and synchronizes between them
- Assumes responsibility for OR supply cost management working with Director, Supply Chain and Clinical Resource Direcctor
What qualifications you will need:
- High school diploma required
- 1-2 years’ supply chain experience in a hospital environment preferred
