Job Description - Acquires a general understanding of U.S. import/export control regulations (i.e. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), etc.) via attendance at relevant seminars, BAE Systems training, and/or hands-on tasks and self-study.
- Reviews presentations, briefings, etc. for appropriate export control markings and compliance with authorizations and export control regulations, if applicable, prior to release outside of the Sector/Company.
- Reviews and approves international travel and foreign visit requests.
- Supports all internal, external and government import/export audits and self-assessments.
- Assists with the review and approval of international shipments to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable U.S. regulations.
- Reviews and approves international purchase orders prior to award to a foreign supplier.
- Assists in updating company policies, procedures and work instructions and participates in the development of export related training materials.
- Performs denied party screenings to support various department processes.
- Reports any potential violations to the Export Compliance Manager.
- Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objective and policies.
- Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate manager.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree and/or 2 years related experience.
A high degree of oral/written communication skills and the ability to interpret and apply government regulations.
Must be able to effectively communicate with individuals at various levels throughout the organization both written and verbally.
Proficient computer skills including all Microsoft office applications. Experience with OCR/EASE is highly desired.
Must be a self-starter. Capable of working independently, as well as, in a team environment.
Excellent time management skills; multi-task, plan, prioritize, organize and control heavy workloads in a fast paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others and respond well to direction.
Attention to detail is a must.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of the ITAR, EAR, BATFE and other laws and regulations governing international trade are desired.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $61278 - $104173
