We are currently looking for an experienced, Contracts Manager to assume a role on our Sustainment and International team. This Contracts Manager position will support a wide variety of products and customers in the growth of new domestic and international pursuits as well as managing existing domestic and international business. As a Contracts Manager, you will:
Consistently work on and provide guidance on complex, domesic and international assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues as well as an understanding of and compliance with company policies and procedures;
Interact with other functions to gather, interpret, analyze, and develop recommended strategies and present information on assigned contracts;
Maintain an in-depth knowledge and working understanding of domestic and international contracting trends and information, US Department of Defense Acquisition and Procurement environment, the BAE Systems Contracts function and relevant company policies and procedures, Defense contracting methods and export;
Independently lead and support proposal activities including, but not limited to: analyzing solicitations, preparing summaries and developing strategies and recommendations based on the analysis, with attention to the financial and business risk of the proposed effort, participating in all proposal team meetings, preparing the terms, conditions and assumptions upon which the proposal may be submitted, reviewing the technical and pricing proposals for accuracy and consistency, conducting overall business risk analysis and preparing the proposal documents for submittal to the Customer;
Research and make recommendations on proposal and contract language. Ensure that all necessary reviews, recommendations and terms are complete, with minimal direction and guidance needed;
Lead contract negotiations and collaborate with customers in definitizing and completing the contract under general guidance;
Advise management of contractual rights and obligations, risk mitigation alternatives and business strategy;
Perform all aspects of assigned contract or purchase order-processing including, but not limited to: accuracy of order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, receipts and delivery schedules, legal requirements and other commitments;
Participate in final stages of assigned contracts by: (1) verifying completion of all commitments, and (2) performing assigned activities associated with contract closeout;
Maintain logs of proposals and other data as required and assist in data collection for monthly/quarterly reporting to Management;
Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and Company policies and procedures;
Act as primary point of contact between the Company and the Customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts. Develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with external Customers;
Support Program Managers, Product Line Directors, and Business Area leads and provide contracts advice and counsel to Company management, as required;Required Education, Experience, & Skills 8 plus years with BS, or 4 plus years with MS, or 2 plus years with JD
Experience negotiating international terms and conditions for goods and services
Experience working on US Government, Foreign Military Sales, commercial and international contracts
Experience with strategic agreements such as but not limited to: bailments, teaming agreements, MOUs, MOAs
Knowledge of import and export regulations
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Good writing and communications skills
Attention to detail
Strong knowledge of the FAR and DFARS
Knowledge of Incoterms
Knowledge and experience with EU environmental and regulatory requirements
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118747 - $201870
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
