Positional Overview:
• Electrical engineer leveraging 10+ years of analog and digital circuit design, with applications for telemetry and data collection subsystems
• Understand vehicle configurations, system architecture, and drive meaningful requirements and verification efforts
• Coordinate and communicate across multiorganizational teams, supporting Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) and Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs) to ensure proper integration at the All-Up Round and Weapon System levels
• Collaborate with industry partners for development, procurement, and troubleshoot of data collection devices, including key reviews for design compliance
• Prior experience with encryption devices, including primary/remote relationships, NSA controls, and key approval/handling protocols
• Experience with Telemetry Transmitters, IRIG106 standards, modulation methods and support to mission planning
• Development of harnessing schematics to collect critical subsystem and sensor data, to include utilizing various instrumentation types (strain gauges, RTDs, TCs, accelerometers, calorimeters, etc.)
• Familiarity with development of Telemetry Format definitions and understanding of RS422 and PCM Ch4 standards. Knowledge in sampling, commutation approaches, gains/offsets, setting excitation levels, etc. for data dictionary generation and maintenance
• Apply critical thinking to drive rigorous troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
• Support integration, test and failure investigation activities onsite in the Deer Creek test line lab, at the vehicle manufacturing facility in Alabama, and at various Flight Test locations
• Perform data reviews for performance verification and post mission objective reporting
