Job Summary and Qualifications
At Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our Women’s Services Community Instructor assists Women’s Administration and Patient Navigation in identifying educational needs, appropriate programs and in-services for patients within our community. While planning and implementing a variety of classes for patients/programs as community needs arise, you will also evaluate educational programs through formal & informal mechanisms. We are an amazing, hardworking team who is looking for a phenomenal addition like you!
- Based upon the educational evaluations, you will also recommend new courses or improvements based on feedback received
- As an instructor, you will maintain appropriate certification and annual education requirements as well as utilize opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- You will assist with miscellaneous community programs/projects
- Maintaining accurate departmental records as related to educational programs is a daily requirement
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of three years hospital clinical experience
- Minimum of one year recent teaching experience in a hospital setting
- Experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse and/or prepared childbirth instructor certification required
