Job Summary and Qualifications
Interventional Radiology Supervisor
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Supervisor leads and oversees the quality performance of diagnostic and IR procedures within the Special Procedures department. This role involves coordinating patient flow, managing technologist workload and call schedules, and ensuring efficient supply procurement. The supervisor is responsible for confirming staff adherence to room preparation, equipment maintenance, physician assistance during procedures, and competent image distribution. Additionally, the supervisor functions as a staff technologist, handles patient transportation, performs clerical and receptionist duties, manages file room tasks, stocks supplies, maintains procedure room cleanliness, and actively participates in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Completion of relevant education leading to required licensure; Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
- Current ARRT credential
- Minimum of 1-3 years licensed experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
