Job Summary and Qualifications
The EP Clinician & Research Fellow is responsible for supporting the efforts of TCAI research. He/she will support in conducting experimental research and produce seminar papers and publications for submission in journals and conferences. The EP Clinician & Research Fellow will also support EP cases in the Electrophysiology Department in the capacity as a scrub tech in support of advancing TCAI research.
· Demonstrate skills in supporting the TCAI Research Agenda
· Contribute to the development of experimental research protocols
· Contribute to the preparation of research reports
· Prepare research proposal submissions to external funding bodies (e.g. NIH)
· Prepare teaching tools and lectures for residents, fellows and external stakeholders
· Co-edit textbooks in Electrophysiology, as requested
· Co-edit submissions and papers of colleagues
· Author invited articles
· Meet deadlines for submissions to conferences, journals, books, etc
· Attend meetings and conferences associated with research or Electrophysiology:
· Facilitate education and training for external stakeholders and visitors as it relates to Research and EP
· Facilitate the sharing of TCAI research and support the set-up of database infrastructure for other HCA EP programs
· Function as a Liaison between Research and Electrophysiology to support the Research Agenda
· Facilitate the review of EP cases as it relates to TCAI Research
· Collect EP case data and analytics to facilitate the successful completion of research studies
· Educate EP department and staff on technology, patient physiology, treatments and research protocols
Required experience:
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in cardiac electrophysiology
- Computer skills with Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, statistical software
