Overview
Job Summary
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
- Carryout production, inspection, and welding operation duties
- Operate basic shop equipment (band saw, grinders, etc.)
- Use various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gage)
- Builds fixtures for work holding as required
- Perform TIG, MIG, and other types of welding based on project needs
- Set up welding machines in accordance with job to be performed
- Read blueprints and technical data to plan layout and procedures
- Work with designers and engineers to resolve print/part issues and exchange technical information
- Deburr and clean parts as required
- Other Duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications

Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two or more years’ related welding experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience reading blue prints and job traveler specifications to determine the proper tooling required to set up each job.
Knowledge of welding the following materials; Aluminum, Mild Steel, and Stainless Steel.
Skills
- General math skills
Knowledge of machines in a manufacturing environment
Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
Ability to read a Jaeger No. 2 Eye Chart at 16in. corrected or un corrected.
Ability to pass an AWS D17.1 Class A weld certification test using GTAW welding process

Pay Range
USD $44,800.00 - USD $64,900.00 /Yr.
