- This is an entry-level position focused on learning to set up and operate various equipment used in performing machining operations such as drilling, tapping, milling, broaching, tap removal and grinding on a variety of materials.
Our Manual Machine Operators (MMO)
- Receive instruction and work assignments from Process Supervisor or Self-Directed Work Team.
- Handle material to and from work area, using jib or overhead cranes or other material handling equipment, as required.
- Refer to work instructions, sketches, manuals, books, charts, military specifications and process sheets.
- Perform checks and/or adjustments to processes as required to maintain tolerance.
- Perform deburring operations with an assortment of tools.
- Perform checks on equipment to maintain efficient and safe operations and report any deficiencies.
- Keep work areas safe and clean.
- This role could develop into a full scope MMO as the necessary skill development is sufficiently demonstrated.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Candidate must possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High mechanical aptitude
- Above average attention to detail
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Fabrication experience specifically with drilling, tapping, cutting, and/or milling
Pay InformationThis position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
